Will Rubber Industry Rub The Fiction OFF?

Ever thought of your life without rubber? Till date, even though we haven't; so let's just have a look on this in deep.

Let's start with an easy one: no tires. Tires are the primary use of rubber in the world. In fact, about 75% of the world's natural rubber production goes towards tires alone. But did you know that cars themselves wouldn't exist without rubber? That's right, wiper blades, engine mounts, seals, hoses and belts are also made from rubber, and are crucial to your car's ability to run well.

Rubber imports are heading for a new high, and fall in production, and a hike has been noticed in the consumption as well. The production has been a decline by 8.5 per cent, but rubber consumption has increasing by 13 per cent.

Rubber Research Institutes of India Indicates adoption of technological innovations which pressurizes on cost saving. It is said to be unwise for the farmers to leave rubber plantations untapped after investing a lot in all the developing plantations.

Off late it has been noticed the widening gap between the production and consumption are met by heavy imports, this also resulted in lowering the rates in international market. Lower rates is a major reason for most of the cultivators leaving their holding untapped that hold the major effect on the production in the domestic market.

Government Plays an important role in increasing imports, and the production declining day by day.

According to the rubber cultivators policy has been in limbo for four long years. Implying the policy would have restricted imports. Absence of policy support has jolted the rubber-dependent local economy, leading to loans, traders shutting their shops down and 50 per cent drop in sales was suffered by shopkeepers.

The heavy imports have affected the rubber market a lot, but still the rubber industry is a powerful industry.

Aakar Exhibition & China United Rubber Corporation have collaborated and this coming January they are launching the second edition of Asia Rubber Expo& RubberTech India on the same platform Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai India. Mark your Calendar 8-10 January for Asia Rubber Expo RubberTech India 2020.
